So as an employee of Zumiez I get a lot of snowboarders that come into my store. As soon as I mention that I ski instead of snowboard a majority of them say I'm stupid/gay/dumb ect. If it wasn't for the sake of my job I would probably chew them out saying how they aren't real snowboarders. Because I believe that if you hate on the other sport you aren't a skier/snowboarder. You might ski or snowboard but you aren't one of them. A real skier or snowboarder respects that the sports are different and unique in their own way and in the end we all share the same love for the mountains and the snow. The best thing ever is to have a guy come into the store and be a snowboarder and be able to sit there and bullshit about who his favorite skiers are while i can bullshit with him about my favorite snowboarders. In my opinion that is how skiers and snowboarders should treat each other.
TLDR: if you hate on the other sport you are a giant pussy no matter if you ski or snowboard
