And why did you support the provision to exempt congress and their staffers from Obama care?
Of course I know the answer to this question has to do with his liberal buddies special interests. But it would put him on the spot and I get a kick out of seeing this pathetic president of ours being put in a situation he cant get him self out of. It shows you who he really is, not the robot guided by a teleprompter that we usually see.

There has been a tradition that the President of the United States makes a visit to the National Scout Jamboree. This is a tradition that goes back to President Roosevelt visiting the first event in 1937 at the Mall in Washington D.C. Regardless of party, the President knew the significance of the event.

Well I don't really eat dinner with my dad seeing as how I live by myself so no Im not one of those kids who repeats everything my dad says. He's also a republican and Im a libertarian.

There is a reason there is more than one political party in the US. People are allowed to have different schools of thought and stances on issues. Your inability to perceive that and put together a coherent sentence leads me to believe you're the one who is young in this situation.

Just because you do not agree with his opinion on this doesnt mean you should go and insult his. If you actually thought any of that through, you would see the irony in this situation. You are claiming he gets his information from his father, yet you seem to ride the stereotypical liberal bandwagon as well. Not that I have an issue with that, but the whole US population would be better off if we actually looked into how the parties both plan on dealing with issues rather than follow the media bandwagon.

I agree with you overall, but I think his point is that the information the op is writing isn't backed up by anything but a hatred of obama and liberals.

It doesn't read or sound as if it's stuff he knows from his own research and knowledge, but rather sounds as if he's just regurgitating bits and pieces only he can't remember the details other than obama is to blame.



I'd ask him what his favorite part about the presidency is.

There are sensible republicans and even more sensible libertarians, and then there is OP.

Having progressive or liberal views doesn't make you part of any bandwagon. I feel you are pulling yourself down to his level by generalizing all/most people with liberal POVs to be bandwagoners who cannot think for themselves. Are there some? Yes, and I'm not fond of them either. But they come from both sides on every issue.

(On a side note, I come from a more liberal view point, but I"d do away with parties all together if I could.)

see that's the thing-- i totally agree with you that his talking about transparency is a sad joke. but youre taking these things, lack of transparency, scandals, etc and conflating them with "liberals." those arent liberal positions...in fact, these are areas that libertarians and liberals are almost completely in agreement

not everything you hate about obama equates to a reason to hate "liberals" (or any certain ideology) and framing the conversation that way leads to nothing but bitching and yelling
