That ain't that bad. I have my beacon that my mom got me last year, I've never used it, but I got with me. Can't I just pull the cord on my cool new air bag pack and I'll be fine.... Right?

ya i dont think there is anyway you survive that. if you get caught in that it would almost be instantaneous death.

depends where you get caught in it, doesn't look to be that big of a crown, but it propagated across a long stretch of the ridge.

really hard to tell, supposedly when the whole shuksan arm went a couple season ago that crown was around 15 feet, and the photos of that seemed to be larger than the one in the video.

ya this went pretty big... that same week there was another one in a bc area at baker that went almost as big. i cant find the pic of the patroller standing under the crown but it's massive.

i didnt even see your comment. i completely agree with you. there are sooooo many people like that at baker. even some of the most "knowledgable" supposed locals send some gnarly shit on days i dont even step into the bc. i just dont get it. i guess a faceshot is more important than your life.

I'm surprised that was steep enough to slide. The Shuksun/Arm slide is scary looking, that whole runout is somewhat of a terrain trap.

to start the fact a majority of your snow base is man made... and that it's only reason number one. i got nothing wrong with people who live there. but if youre an outdoor person, hiking, skiing, camping, biking pick a coast. preferably go west. the mountains only get better.
