Loosing Friends

Over the last 2 months I have lost 2 of my closer friends. One in his sleep the other drowning. Im not sure how to deal with whats going on or even how i feel about it at this point. My group of friends is totally devastated but i feel totally emotionless and its starting to scare me I feel cold and inhuman. Im not really sure what to do with myself after this.

I apologize for pointless thread but i have no where else to vent to right now.

Oh shit dude, totally my bad, I only saw the title and didnt look at the actual post, sorry about that. Im sorry to hear about your friends, its going to be difficult but right now its super important you make sure none of the other friends in your group get hit by this really hard. Everyone needs to keep an eye out for each other cause a death can really send some people over, especially 2 peers.

If something is loose, such as a bolt, it is advisable to use Loctite. This helps keep things in place. Never heard of anyone trying it on a friend, but it's worth a shot I suppose.

Fuck you he buried his friends thats not something to joke about. And I'm really sorry man, I've never lost anyone close to me but I imagine its devastating. you'll probably deal with the loss for a long time, but I wish you the best.

Dude are you serious? Not the side of NS that I love to see. Talk to your friends, if you can't talk to them, then try your parents. People are there for you, and as much as I'd love to have NS support you, you're gonna wanna talk to real people about this. Not sure how old you are, seem like you're in high school cause of another one of your threads, but a counselor at school wouldn't be a bad place to start either, even if it meant you and all of your buddies go chat and vent. There's always help amigo.

Humor is an excellent coping mechanism. It is often infused into the most dire of situations. Examples would include a soldier laughing at an injury, etc. Faced with the choice of humor or grief, which would you choose? I'm sure OP already has had plenty of sympathy, so why not interject a little humor?

Sorry about that OP. I felt a lot like you did when I found out my closest friend took her own life but as time goes on you'll learn to accept it and it will hurt less.

Vibes dude, but it sounds like you're still in a bit of shock. I think about this a lot, if lost one of my roommates at this point, I don't think I would know what to do with myself and it would probably take a while to even set in. I guess the only advice I can give you for not having to face something like this yet is to live your life in their name. Use the things that they taught you about yourself to you advantage and turn this into an experience that will make you a better person.

Stick close with your friend group too, it sounds like they need as much support as they can right now.

I know losses can be hard man. I near lost my mother, and I felt like an idiot when I didn't cry for three of my grandparent's deaths. Don't ever force emotion, even if it is grieving. That time will come. For now, realize that they (if you believe in this) still exist in some other place. (If anyone tries to argue about that now you're a dick). I can't explain it to you, but you and I probably just grieve differently than others and thats ok

I lost four friends in high school man I know how you feel. It blows. Then when me and some friends were skiing in the backcountry last year one was killed by an avalanche. Sometimes things just happen and we will never know why they did. The best way I've found to deal with it is to accept that it's all part of a bigger plan that we are not in control of. It's important to keep close with your friends when another friend is lost, because they're the ones that will get through it with you. Don't feel bad about not crying or feeling emotion. It took a few days to get over the shock after the avalanche. These things happen and you have to keep on with your life. Vibes man. Hope this helped.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Our friends can be more important to us than blood relatives and it can be devastating to lose one. It's already been said, but I'm going to re-state it. Now is the time to band together with your friends and keep an eye out for each other. Our lowest points are our most fragile and especially with guys, you often don't know what's going on in their head since we don't show all of our emotions. You guys will be alright and life will move on.

You are still healthy, and you will be happy again. And in celebration of that, here's Brad Pitt dancing.

My dad died about 2 months ago, I know exactly how you're feeling man. The fact that you don't feel anything is not abnormal, or at least I experienced the same thing. I "got over" it pretty damn quickly, but as the days and weeks pass on, it slowly sets in more and more that he's really, permanently gone. I know that doesn't sound comforting, but it is in a way, at least I feel it is. Rather than having one massive emotional black cloud descend on your life, it comes in little sprinkles, allowing you to emotionally digest it. I know, believe me I know it's hollow coming from some random person, but maybe it provides some common ground so you know you're not the only one dealing with it in this manner. God bless and I pray for you and your group of friends and others involved in these tragedies.
