Replying to Considering a move to Atlanta

I've never been to Atlanta so I have no idea what it's like. My friend is a master club fitter and player specialist for TaylorMade golf in Atlanta GA. He just bought a house and needs a roomie plus he can get me a job working for TaylorMade. This means I would get free golf equipment and free golf. I checked and the closest ski resorts are at least 2-3 hours away and are in North Carolina. Has anybody been skiing in NC? Also considering Eugene Oregon and Taos NM.
