Windells or Momentum????

I need help deciding on what camp to go to... Title says it all... Comment what you guys think. Negatives and positives of both of these ski camps

I've never been to a ski camp with actual,on-hill, snow/snowflex. skiing. However my one rich friend says momentum is the best.

Well factor in that you will be traveling internationally if you go to Momentum so there will be added costs.

Windells is so fun to the people who say the vibe is bad are wrong at least for me, when i went everyone was chill and there to have a good time. the only downside is that the food kinda sucks

this year my team had to decide between momentum and windells. we ended up settling on momentum and had a great time, big enough park, private lift, and no snowboarders.
However we only did the park access pass so we didnt experience any of the camp life. Also the weather wasnt great our week.

I havent heard much about Windells but Im pretty sure the ropetow is shared, theres only usually one big jump and its hard to get to. But the camp life at windells looks like a blast. Theres nothing to do at hood when youre not skiing as opposed to whistler which is party central.

Youll have fun at either camp, and since youre in US it would probably be more cost efficient to go to windells.

*people always talk about douchey rich kids at camp and I experienced none of that a momentum

How old are you? I'm 18 and went to Windells and stayed in the adult house, the people were super chill, and the people in my group were from 14 to 17 and luckily they were cool. If you're 16-17 and you're not a dick you might have a hard time with all those kids

Windells. I just went this year and it is truly the funnest place on earth. The Staff is great there. campus is crazy and on-hill is amazing.

I went session 2 and we were only able to go to the lane twice but it was still super fun. The whole campus is a skatepark and the tramps are ill too. I feel like the whole expierence was just awesome in general. If the weather wasnt so bad it would be 5x better.

Windells for sure. I went this year, and am now applying to the Academy there. On hill is bomb, I progressed in two days more than I would in a season and a half. Coaches were super supportive and I can say it was the best week of my life.

Mhssc go for a lot long for cheaper food is so much better and tramp at mhssc is better too

Windells ropetows (they have 2,or maybe 3) are private, just as their lane is private. When we were there, session 5, there were 5 jumps and the features were numerous and the park was set up for endless fun and progression. I don't think it's hard to get to either. 15 minute scenic van ride from camp to the mountain, take the lift up to Palmer Snowfield and drop down to the Windells Lane.

My kids have gone to Windells 4 years now, and it is what it is....."The Funnest Place On Earth"! The camp life is like you said, a blast! As far as things to do in Hood, most campers aren't of drinking age, so I don't even consider that a factor. There is plenty to do if you like the out doors. Most beautiful place ever imo.

I've never sent my kids to Momentum, but looking at the pictures, videos, and comments from people it looks like an amazing place as well. their park looks amazing and beautiful. We just choose to stay in the USA. I would love to visit Whistler one day though. It looks amazing!!

with windells it also kinda depends on which session. but still its super sick. the tramps are friggin amazing and the whole campus is sick. the eating contests though...

I was there the same time as you, but I was at Momentum.

COC looked awesome, especially the jumps - but I wouldn't go there simply because of the public T-bar. Every time we needed to go up for lunch, or go down to the bottom we rode the COC T-bar. It was brutal compared to Momentum's. Momentum's is literally a 30 second line up most of the time.

Momentum is awesome by the way, I'd highly recommend it.

To answer your other question, Woodward is sick, indoor facilities are the best, but the on snow park is nothing compared to say Windells or Coc. I've also been to Coc, and it is so fun. Barely a camp, it's super chill and you can do pretty much whatever you want while you're there. Park is sick as well, nice jumps especially. I'd choose Coc, it's worth the t-bar wait.

i was at momentum, and sure coc park is a bit better, you just hot lap at momentum at coc you wait 10 minutes atleast per lap

To be honest, this year COC looked a bit underwhelming. The size of the park was half of last year's. The jumps looked amazing though.

Its a little longer than that. About 20-35 minutes depending on your driver. But the scenery once you pass the dairy queen zone is awesome. I love the wall of trees along the canyon and when you come around the corner and the huge mountain pops out of nowhere.

They've got it all. flat boxes and rail, down rails, dfd, dfdfd, cannons, c rails, and of course there is the Saga A frame with creepers. There is literally something for anything you want to do. It would take you all week just to try and get good tricks on all the different features.

momentum is so fucking fun... went last year session 2 and easily had the most fun skiing with friends and coaches that i have had to that point.

pros

-small groups with a coach who actually cares and teaches you stuff
-small lines at t bar so you can hotlap
-food is great you eat at a different restaurant every night
- whistler village leaves you a ton of stuff to do apres ski
- park is unreal
-free stuff
- activities such as m biking, skatepark, wakesurfing and all that shit after skiing

cons
- honestly am having difficulty thinking of cons
- there is so much fun stuff to do at momentum that you may not be able to do it all

that is honestly the only thing i can think of and it's only half serious
