Switch on water ramps

I shred the ramps at Lac Beauport QC every summer and ive tried switch a few times for switch rodeos...From my experience, its extremely sketchy and scary going down switch, you have no edge control and its nothing like skiing. Ive seen alot of people bail and falling on those bristles hurts!
Anybody got any tips, bails or interesting experiences they would like to share about hitting ramps backwurds.

What is the surface at QC? I have only done Ohio Dreams and going switch there is so sketchy, that no one does it apparently.

Its a hard 2 inch high plastic bristle kina like a longer version af msnow(the stuff hurts)... i think ohio dreams is more of a soft (toothbrush) material

When you jump turn on a water ramp it's easier to start in snowplow wedge, samething with switch angle your snowplow backwards (I find it helps)

SInce you can't hold an offset edge going down the ramp (no carving/staggered stance) just focus on your body position, keep your knees bent, and head up, and throw your trick after you've popped you don't want to crave off that lip i've saw someone hit the concrete in Lake Placid once they blew out there ACL

I ramp in park city and I find that its easiest when u tip in and keep a big stagger the whole time. also mak sure you are patient off the ramp.

i'm pretty sure sw rodes are about a trillion times more dangerous to learn on a waterramp than on an actual jump

Switch on the ramps is absolutely terrifying. The best thing to do is keep a wide STRONG stance. You dont wanna go in there with noodle legs, be patient, and hope you make it.

Ohio dreams also has msnow. Its so sketchy that snowboarders can barely use the ramps. Ive also done the lake placid ramps, and you can go switch all day on those. Ohio dreams is still 10x better though. Other than that ive never done any ski camp.

personaly, i dont find the switch rodeos that sketchy, just pop....i think il try tipping in so i can be sure to go down straight

practise riding the transition switch from way down the in-run to get a feel for the transition switch. then hike to the top and tip in switch and don't try to set a god dam edge !
