hey guys i got diagnosed with lyme disease about 2 weeks ago and this shit blows. If anyone on here has gotten it before or know someone who has it you know what i mean.
Lyme is really getting me good. I developed bells paulsy which is a neurological that paralyzes the left side of your face. so i look like a stroke victim pretty much. but the doc thinks the lyme is in my central nervous system so i have to get a spinal tap for that and if it comes back positive i need the doxy cycline meds plus a med that you can only get for IV and i need that twice a day for 2 months. plus the lyme has given me really bad muscle cramps, tightness and soreness. And i got the famous lyme joint pains which are no fun.
ive had it for about a month now the doctors think. but i caught it early enough to where ill be fine in about 2-3 months but this is still screwing up my summer
any other NS'ers got any lyme stories. i know it can get pretty serious if gone un treated.
PS. anyone drink while on doxy. i guess it can be really bad for you but i dont know if thats true or not.
