So my wooden skimboard has seen better days and needs some work. I missed a couple drops last week and the edge of the board/peeling bottom material put a nice gash in the side of my foot. So I'm trying to figure out what to do. The wood looks to be in great shape. The green part is just paint, and looks easy to sand off.
The white part is what I'm confused about: what is it? seems to be a solid, thin piece of plastic. How can I replace it? If I just sand the whole board down to wood (leaving the stomp pad) and cover the whole thing in resin will it work? Do i need to epoxy the bottom?
