pivot 10 or s9-12ti

hey i just got some fuj. and i need to put some bindings on them , i wast sure look pivot 10 bindings or salomons , i have the salomons and i was wondering if i should get look.

side note if anyone has fuj with pivot 10 did u need the wider brake or did it work and u just bent it ?

i have the salomons and they fuckin rock my socks off. the look are over priced i got my 912tis for 110 bucks. sales are great and the 912s are soo light

i got in a car crash,got shot at,and attacked by a fucking bobcat. cross country is boring.

First, you will not need the wide brake for the fujatives. Secondly, unless you're planning to set your DIN at 10 or higher, get the p10s. Better release mechanism, and more durable.

^um, if he wants to set the DIN at 10 or higher on P10s, he'd have to be some sort of magician... unless you meant P12s/P14s

^No, I meant he should get p10s unless he needs the higher DIN on the s912s. Since he's considering the p10s, though, I doubt he does.

Look p10's all the way dude. Trust me, an extra $30 is definitely worth the much added safety and durability. It really sucks when your buddies are out on the mountain and you're in bed with a cast or knee brace. The salomons are great if you don't planning on messing up at all. If you're not superhuman, make the wise choice and get the Looks.

Ive actually had both the looks are motha fucking heavy and the salomon's are fucking light. But its up to u though.

I'm thinking you will need the wide brake. I have a pair of Look P12 Jibs on my Public Enemies, which have an 80mm waist. The brake barely fits without having to be bent, and doesn't scrape against the edges. Since the Fujatives are 85mm waisted, I would think you need a 90mm or less Wide Brake.

^He's right. It depends on the company though. Some manufacturers make a 110mm or less brake, and a 90mm or less brake. There's no sense in getting the largest size if he can make do with a smaller one. Look into it, I'm not sure what Look does with their Wide Brakes.

thanks guys this has been real helpful , i gotta get new bindings now , my salomons broke when we were gonna mount them at my shop , im prob gonna go with p10's now or mabye 12

then you just got some first-hand experience on the overall crappiness of salomon bindings.

i'd never buy any of their new ones. the old ones, on the other hand, are built like fucking tanks and are really good.

i've owned salomon and look bindings and even tho the looks are heavery and more expesive you a buying a better product with look, salomon bindings love to break off on the heel slide and the toe wings like to come loose alot.

i have some salomon s810 tis and i dont like them. the heelpiece is crap, they pop out a lot even when i put the DIN really high, although they are really nice and light, i wouldnt get them ever again. looks are really heavy, but definitely a better binding.

^ u work at a ski shop and u dont know anything about marker free's? ive heard only good things about marker free's but i wouldnt trust any other marker binding and i have my reasons

i broke my femur with salomon's. i've never, ever had troubles with the p10/p12. they are life savers.

all my shop has is salomon r they really that bad cuz that would be the only binding i could get

fiveo ye i work @ a shop but we dont stock the free and i forgot to ask one of the other guys who has ridden it. even if i work at a shop i like to kno what people like riding and what there experiences are with them because a company can hype there shit any way but if u find out from the people riding it u kno what to expect.

^^ hey devine.. if that's all you carry, you should pick some up. see if you can get 916's. those are nice. but the 912ti's are only like 113 on hookups, so you can just resell them for more if you dont like them. or get 914's if you dont mind a little extra weight and want a more solid binding
