Replying to (reaction to LSM) it is easier to point the finger then to look in the mirror

goonsquad:
in reaction to the LGBT athletes in sochi thread, there is being a lot of hate directed towards LSM and there "stance" on gays, people using harsh words like "it is sad that people like you even exist" and "boycott life steeze media" when the main part of his argument was 'I'm not against human rights, I'm against imposing different opinion to people who don't share it" and then we continuing to say "You should look up human rights and logic, you might learn something."

Well people of NS (directed mostly towards the americans) we are forgetting our most basic human rights. They have just as much right to stop gays as we do to allow them. And the fact is gay marriage is still illegal in well over half of our country and you are guaranteed to find someone with an extreme view against gays in our country, just look at the westboro baptist church. The only problem Russia is facing, is that they have someone in power who disagrees with gays, but it is up to the people of Russia to decide if gay rights is that important of an issue to fight for.

Look at the problems our country is facing, this guy Edward Snowden leaks whatever information about our government and instead of allowing this man to practice our most basic amendment, the right to free speech, our government starts a world wide man hunt for him, spending millions, trying to get him back but for what reason, because he told a secret? Who gives a fuck? most of us already knew what was going on anyways and my life didn't change because of what he said. But the fact that our government is trying so hard to stop this one man blows my mind. If our government is allowed to view our information why are they trying so hard to hide theirs? Russia is the country that allowed him safety. To that i say "High Five"

So to Americans, "He who is with out sin may cast the first stone". don't be so quick to judge, we have our own beliefs that much of the world doesn't agree with. Focus on our own problems.

To Russia, fight for what you believe in and change will come where it is needed.

To people everywhere, Fight your own battles and the world will change because of it.

To people of NS, please discuss.

thank you,
the goonsquad
