Anybody else think puppy mills need to be shut the fuck down?

There are too many dogs already so the result is that the aspca puts a ton of dogs to sleep. We arrest people for doing drugs and we cant stop fucking puppy mills? Yes i realize i am passionate about the issue.

How does one even fuck a puppy mill, i mean where do you even put it?

I am against the shutting down of puppy mills because the birth defects give them extra flavor and tenderness, especially when deep fried

Purebreds are more prone to health problems due to the massive amounts of inbreeding that occur. Recessive traits you don't want tend to pop up more often.

LOL learn about breeding, some idiot in his backyard making two of the same animals bang it out is not the right way to breed. (most likely because inbreeding will happen)

buy a dog from a company that actually knows what their doing and the dog will be better than any crap animal you will find at you're local pound.

But if it is a good breeder they will have dogs with good genes and you are less likely to get these problems. There are 4 yellow labs in my neighborhood (1 mine) from the same parents all purebred all 11 or 12 years old and they are perfectly healthy and none have hip dysplasia.

A $1000 black lab is coming from a good background with good genes, most likely stud hunting parents. You have no idea where an adopted dog came from.

I still feel much more comfortable knowing the dogs genetic background. Also when raising it from a puppy you can train it how you want it to be trained. And a lot of dogs you adopt will have problems of their own, whether it be physical or emotional.

my aunt has three purebred labs. they are all worth a ton of money. well over the $1000 bargain-bin purebreds. They win shows and stuff but the dogs are also dumb as fuck and really shitty as dogs.

well two out of three of them at least. The only reason they are worth more as dogs is because humans deemed them more valuable.

I have a purebred that I refuse to breed (even though I could make thousands) because I think its morally wrong. way too many innocent animals out there needing to be adopted for me to throw more in the mix. No way.

We could have with our lab too but when he had his balls he humped every person in sight the either sat or kneeled down or layed down. In a neighborhood full of kids, it happened a little too muchHe was a horny little dog

Haha, my little guy still has his nuts but I keep a very close eye on him. He's only 3 but he's still nowhere near as horny as he used to be. About a year ago it was really bad. Huge red rocket every time I came home, humped everything in sight (excluding people believe it or not), sprayed. However, unless he medically needs it someday I don't want to get him fixed. If at any point though the vet. says it is necessary then it'll happen that day.
