Trading Places: NS Style

Hello Brethren,

As of late, I've been discussing becoming a foreign exchange student for my last years of high school. I've looked at several outbound programs, all of which are ten to fifteen thousand per semester. Unfortunately, I'm not Splice and cannot afford it.

However it got me thinking on cheaper solutions.
Why not go live with someone I know and save money?
Then I thought Why not bring NS in on this?
Why not trade places with some other kid on NS?

My Idea is to create a web series chronicling the journey/struggle of two skiers trading lives. It would portray the everyday life of young skiers in unknown territory as well as on and off hill shenanigans.

Now-

Would anyone even watch this show?

Is anybody interested in possibly being a part of this project?

Suggestions/questions/comments/criticism welcome

The idea is cool
BUT the only way it could ever work is if you stay within the same country, visa bullshit is such a long and detailed process you wouldn't be able to get the right permits for more than a tourist visa (45 days usually)
Also, I'm PMing you about Rotary. My family is not rich by any standards and I was able to be a foreign exchange student my senior year of high school, went to Austria.

i dont know how many people would be willing to do a whole season. usually those shows are like a 2 week deal aren't they? I would say 45 days would be plenty.

I think a more stark change would be to switch with somebody here in the uk. Dryslope and fridge riding is quite a different experience from even east coast riding. it'd be interesting to see how a west coast skier adapted to the challenges that dryslope presents.

Mid west skiers trade with west. IS WAY MORE ROUGH on the west coast kid who has to go to the midwest or better yet Indiana (Perfect North [Goepper & Laker], or Paoli Peaks).

Yeah I have to say just kids on newschoolers should get the chance to switch! It would be an amazing experience to switch with someone and have the opportunity to go shred somewhere else!

It would have to be for a short period of time. If it was extended, people would have to quit jobs and shit to make it work, and then how would you pay each others rent. I guess it could be 2 kids still living with parents but really who wants to watch that, as the shananigans would undoubtedly be less exciting. Maybe 2 ski bumbs could do it if they both quit their jobs during the winter anyways and just treated it as a month in a different. Just thinking through logistics cause this is a pretty badass idea
