Hello,
I'm not super techy, but if anyone can help me with any suggestions on a camera (if any) that can do this stuff:
-at least 720p
-at least 60fps
-wifi capable for remote video shooting
->control by app? 3rd party remote?
->i have iphone5 so no NFC
->anything like the gopro wifi combo with decent range?
->eg- want to set up camera on a clamp mount in a tree with a birds eye over a booter.
-needs a good powerzoom, or interchangeable lenses
-mic jack for external would be a bonus
-hot shoe for light would be a bonus
Thanks in advance for any tips...

or maybe try with something simpler--is there anything like the gopro wifi combo with good range for a regular camera?

I have a canon g15 and the video is awesome, no 60fps (1080/24 and 720/30) but the quality is great and the build is fantastic. The lens is equivilent 28-140mm at F2-2.8! I'd highly recommend it.

do you need it to be a point and shoot or small mirrorless? I noticed you listed zoom/interchangeable lenses, but do you need to to be pocketable or lightweight? Also, do you have a certain price range in mind?
You may want to check out the sony rx100 II, I know it has remote controls over wifi, not sure about viewing. Also, the panasonic gx7 may feature remote viewing (I know the gh3 does, but this is mostly speculation).

I'd say look at the Panasonic GX7 that is about to be released.

If you're looking to save some money, maybe consider an HV30? It's a great little video camera that shoots 1080p 24/30 fps and 1080i 60fps. It comes with a remote that controls it excellent zoom and can toggle record from solid distances. Let me know if you're interested, I'm just about to list one for sale with tons of accessories after I finish filming my last concert of the summer tonight.

Thanks for suggestions y'all. As far as size, I was looking for something that can easily be packed in a backpack while skiing. I like the midsize mirrorless one out these days. Around 5 or 600$ might be max, but if a super rad one was out there i could save a bit more..
The rx100 II looks amazing. But from what I've read is that most of the wifi cameras these days use NFC technology which Apple decided it didnt want to include on my iphone... I guess if I found the right camera an android tablet or something might work.
Anyone know if using a phone/phablet/tablet without a sim card would still allow it to be used as a wifi remote over NFC? I also found Weye Feye (www.weye-feye.com), pretty cool gadget. But maybe for the price investing in a better camera would make sense.
I wish gopro made a camera with zoom that used their wifi bacpac and remote... (no the different FOV doesn't count..)
