Gonna put a prediction in for chris laker. Been injured for the past 2 seasons, but finally healthy now (knock on wood) and is going to compete in the rest of the olympic qualifying events. He was near the top of the game before he got injured so hoping he makes a comeback.
As of now though, I say the 3 athletes who have a legit chance of winning the olympics are Geopper, Henrik, and Gus, and maybee Wally.
Now I believe, not entirely sure, but I believe the olympics will have best of 3 runs as opposed to best of 2 like dew tour. If it is best of 3, I think it changes the game significantly. Best of 2 has a lot of variance, esp with a lot of weather; generally a perfect cleanly thrown run can podium even if it isn't too incredibly difficult.
But bo3 you can almost be sure almost every athlete in the finals is going to be able to cleanly stomp a "stock" or safe run that is going to give them a solid score. So that means whoever takes first is going to need to throw some tricks that are much more difficult and less consistent. So you gotta look at the riders who have the biggest bag of tricks. Thats why i pick those 4.
