What do you guys think will be thrown at the Olympics?

I can see most of the athletes progressing harder than ever and they might be throwing triples in slopestyle maybe even in the pipe.

i highly doubt anybody is gonna throw a triple in pipe, if there was like some big air quaterpipe jam maybe someone would throw it but no way is anyone gonna try to put that in a pipe run, it will just be lots of mutes and dubs every way

I would not be so sure. Athleates have been trying them so if it means you win a gold you may see someone trying one.

firstly: the difference will be small. has it happened to any other Olympic sport? did snowboarding in the Olympics all of a sudden boost a huge increase in the sport?

secondly: I look forward to the cash injection into the freeski scene.

This. The same thing happened with swimming back in 2008. I used be on my local swim team at the time and shit ton of people tried to join the swim team after seeing the U.S. do so well in Beijing.

Agreed. I think snowboarding had reached it's saturation point by the time the olympics came around. Freskiing hasn't quite gotten there IMO.

What I want to happen:

slope:

1: Henrik (I really want to see him in overalls and full dreads all over international TV)

2: Woodsy/Wallisch

3: Alex Bellemare (I feel like he could have medaled at X this year, but everyone's runs were so damn close in score it was anyone's game)


Pipe:

1.) Torin

2.) Aaron Blunck

3.) Dudemont (been working to hard for to long with to many comebacks to not get something out of it)

all you guys are doing is naming off people who did well this season. Next year there will be brand new break-out athletes and new tricks will be landed, especially with athletes trying to get on their exclusive, respective olympic teams.

Also no one is even talking about the girls, There will certainly be some new international break-outs with what we've seen from Lisa Zimmerman and even Kelly Sildaru.

I want Henrik to win as it would be hilarious if the first gold medal for our sport in the olympics was won by a dreaded out rasta kid but i think someone like Goepper will do multiple triples in one run and win it. Woodsy has a good chance especially if he gets the unnatural triple on lock.

Tom Wallisch will no way podium at the Olympics. I hope Goepper wins, he kills it and has worked hard to get where he is and is actually pretty styley. Woodsy could get 2nd but I hope he doesn't podium because he's an idiot.

I can't believe you guessing guys don't even think Kevin Rolland will podium.. he will most likely win pipe.

Some random new guy witch nobody yet has heard off is going to podium in slope or pipe.

I'm guessing someone will fail the drugtest, and the media is going to blow this up so big if it happens.

USA, France and Norway will get medals.
also probably Sweden and UK.

People will get hurt.
Some people will be very happy, and suddenly known by regular people.

Horgmo will surly triple in slope, both ways.
meaning white will triple as well, in a weird outfit,maybe a golden motorcycle dress!

The commentator box will moan about triple the whole way, from the quals to the last run.

Pretzleman, or someone else who everybody thinks is going to win, will not.

Big air Dave will most likely not be test pilot for the slopestyle jumpline.

I'm going to be there, and it will be fucking cold.

Gapers will purchase sean wite suporter gear and wigs.

The course will probably suck, but everybody gotta deal with that.

Judging will be horrible, at least half of NS will think so.

There will be a lot of threads in ski gabber, LOTS, and reposts, many!

I predict that Håtveit is practicing triples both ways in secret. And if he stomps it he will win ofc.
He was the first to do all the 1080's, first to do dubcorks both ways (he did it on a shoot in Myrkdalen before JOSS if im not mistaken) and will be the first one to do trips back to back.

And Harlaut will do trip 1080.

FYI - the olympic judges for freeskiing are all AFP judges and will not be the same judges for moguls and aerials.

I just want Henrik to win and then I'll just sit back and enjoy all the newfound interest in slopestyle skiing in Sweden, and have the backcountry all to myself :)

No but honestly, it's almost impossible to predict this, we're still inbetween seasons. But I hope at least one of the Swedish guys makes it to the finals in men's slope.
And that Tiril and Lisa Z nad Kaya pushes the boundaries of women's freeskiing.

We are waaaaay too far out to even have a guess at who is going to win.

I am guessing all 4 way triples, not in one run, and at least two triples in the winning run.
