Americans with working Permits in Canada

Hey Peeps so I am looking to move up to Canada and get a job somewhere for a year and I am wondering how and if any of you americans have been able to get a work permit for BC and what the best way to go about getting that is. I am going to go to whistler I think

whistler will not hire you unless you have a visa

you'll unlikely get a visa unless you can prove income

canada has temporarily held letting 'skilled laborers' in (will start back agian in 2014)


source: interviewed with the IT manager at whistler this january, and would have had a job as a software administrator had these situations not existed. good luck
