Hot shoe mounted mic

Im looking for a hot shoe mounted mic for my nikon d3200. what is a quality mic I can get that doesn't cost too much?

Depends on your idea of "affordable". Rode videomic/Rode videomic pro are the most popular, but if that's too much, you can get a mic for $40 but it won't be as good.

I have a like new Rode Videomic I might be looking to sell. It's the one with the new better suspension system - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/917425-REG/rode_videomic_r_videomic_with_rycote_lyre.html

Mounts right on the hot shoe and is pretty lightweight. I've only used it twice and had no problems with it, I'm just thinking about going to an XLR mic.
