.MASSHOLE.At all? The only thing that was a major difference was the last battle scene from what I can recall.
Thizzle.Idk I guess "accurate representation" wasn't the right word, more like not as in depth. They never showed the whole side of the people at home thinking he was dead, the vigil at his parents home in Texas, never went in to any of his training, never mentioned Marcus' brother once. It was so much more focused strictly on the firefight in which the SEAL's died. For me some of the most moving parts of the book were the descriptions of the camaraderie and banding together of the people at home, and also it would have been really cool to show more of what he talked about in the book with his training with his brother growing up, and the actual SEAL training.
.frenchyso fuckin badass.
just makes me wanna join the military even more hahaha
BogezI watched this movie a few months ago and thought it was the biggest load of garbage I've seen in a while. I was a fan of Berg after FNL but this movie was just awful. There was almost no story (and I mean story not plot) and what was there did nothing to make me care when any of the soldiers died. It seemed like Berg focused way too much on the war scenes that he completely lost track of what would of made the story so compelling. The movie did start to get better when Whalberg was saved by the guy and his son, but then he made it all about AMERICA FUCK YAH when they came and saved the day. Actually the best way to sum up the movie is; AMERICA FUCK YAH #JINGOISM.
I must say though it has one of the funniest scenes I've seen in a war movie. Beating out Three Kings and FMJ.
Here's the scene (hopefully one works, don't know how this new post system works):
