This isn't the same as preferring park skiing to powder, these are people. Nobody gives a fuck if you have like red more than blue, prefer new or old music, or a hatchback to a sedan, people simply want to see people respected as people.


Honestly if you don't understand that, fuck you. You're entitled to think what you want, say what you want, but you're a tool.

People are people, that seems to be our largest barrier as humans. That goes far beyond sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, social class or anything else that divides us. As a whole we seem to have some massive problems respecting each other as people. What the hell ever happened to the golden rule? It would be awesome if people could live like that. What the hell does being a douche to the people around you accomplish?

Cool rant right? I don't even care about boycotting anything. I just feel that people are being a douche to OP for no reason. Between the two threads and many others on this site there is still a shit ton of bigotry. Just because it doesn't bother you doesn't mean there aren't people that think this issue is a big deal.

Here is my take on things... hate it or love it.

I am 10000% for gay marriage. I believe in equality for all people and I believe that love is love whether you're gay straight bisexual whatever. I happen to enjoy females, but I have some close friends who are gay and I love them.


However, an opinion is an opinion. If you want to call the dude a bigot call him a bigot. However, hating him for his opinion and wanting to boycott him is as bad as him disagreeing with your opinion. Sure, in your mind there may be a "right" and "wrong" mindset, but remember that everyone is entitled to an opinion no matter what.

Would I love it if the Olympics were moved? Yes. Do I think the dude is a moron? Yes. However, he has the right as a human being to be a moron. It's fundamental. He should respect our opinion, and honestly we should respect his. Doesn't mean you have to agree, but you should at least respect it.
