Emerging Pro: Still & Motion Competition

I got an email about this today and looked at a few of the entries and thought that there are a few of you guys in here who can give the photo entries a run for their money.

Deadline is 8/15.

At first i was like whaaaa?!?!

but then i read the fine print...and realized i could loan a red from school
"Finalists will receive a RED camera on loan from Sponsors with which they will have until midnight PT on September 20, 2013, to produce an original project consisting of five (5) still photos or one (1) motion short not to exceed five (5) minutes in length. It’s up to the Finalists which they will produce. Finalists must submit their original project by midnight PT on September 20, 2013. RED camera is the property of Sponsor and must be returned in the same condition as it was provided to Finalists immediately following submission of their original project. Finalists are solely responsible for any damage or loss to the RED camera."

So from the submissions until 8/15, it's broken down to 10 finalists that each get a red until the 9/20 to make something new. And then the winner the second round gets the Epic/Zeiss Rig.

The prize is there.

ahhh i see. so i just understood it wrong. that actually sounds much more legit because then they are giving the red to the person out of the top ten who uses the loaned red the best? that would make much more sense
