I hate summer reading!

So I have to read this book All But My Life fore summer reading.

It is the most boring book I have ever read in my life and I dont get what im learning from anotating a book and doing four assignments on it. Then I have to take a school on it on the first day of school. Do you peoples schools make you read boring ass books in the summer?

and what you're learning from this (hopefully) is how to actively read, rather than running your eyes over words, but perhaps stopping and thinking about a passage or idea from the text. contrary to popular belief, these assignments are not created to piss you off and ruin your summer.

i got a choice of what to read. its bullshit idk about your school but last year we played a jeopardy game on it with the group who chose the same book.....about 3 questions involved the book the rest were on political shit and social media havent started to read yet

Judging from the quality of your writing i'm going to guess you are going into fifth grade, so i'll give you some advice: read a lot. It'll only be good for you. Trust me, the more you read, the better a reader you'll become, and being a good reader will make life much, much easier for you in middle school, high school, and college.

Grow up, Matt. There are a lot more important problems than summer reading to worry about. We have to end apartheid for one. And slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern and less materialism in young people.

last summer i had to read 5 books 3 for english and two for history, i read all of them, used two of them for english and we ignored the history ones.

i had to read "Peace Like a River" by Leif Enger for honors english. I actually really enjoyed it...4 years later. eventually you'll appreciate good literature.

That book is 272 pages. Summer vacation is roughly 90 days. That comes out to ~3.02 pages to read a day. Quit being a pussy, ya pussy.
