Full Tilt Booters: Advice

Looking at the 12/13 (see through/yellow model). I was wondering If anyone has them? Are they worth the money, and if they hold up well? I can imagine the liner getting grubby and showing through. Thanks +K to helpers

If they fit you better then any other boot, then yeah they are worth the money. If you just want them who knows. You can't just choose boots unfortunately. Boots are really specific so they have to fit your foot, you will always need adtional fitting work doing like foot beds preferably custom and probably shell work doing as well as molding the liners and possibly shells depending on the boot. All this has to be done in a shop, so go find a good boot fitting shop and go have the fitter recommend the best boots for your feet and then have him fit the boots he recommends.

They are worth the money if they're the right boot for you and fit your feet. Full Tilts, like any boot are good boots if they fit your feet, this is something you can't ensure unless you go to a bootfittet. It's also worth noting that Booters have a different fit to other FT boot such as the the TWall or the Drop kicks, Booters fIt wider throughout.

I went to a bootfitter, the booters were the only full tilts that they had in my size , and they fitted nicely. I also tried on the SPK's and Nordica's, they both were really uncomfortable and didn't fit my foot.

What boot did the fitter recommend? Did you just ask to try certain boots on or did the fitter actually look at your feet and recommend wht to try?

One thing to remember when trying full tilts is always stick a trim to fit footbed in. Ft don't put any kind of insole in so when you have them fitted with footbeds the fit can change allot. Obviously the boot fitter should know this and do it straight away, but if not make sure they at leasts stick something like a super feet in them for you to try.

The shop is the only one in my area (Auckland, New Zealand) , they only had two FT boots; the booter in 26.5 (just happened to be my size) and the Tom Wallisch Pro Model in 28 which is way too big.

The bootfitter sucked. He didn't do anything other than measure my size which I already knew, and he fetched the boot for me. I can't really get any help from the shop so I came to ask fellow Newschoolers. Basically, the booter was comfortable. I have no idea if i would fit better in a narrower boot ( i know the booter is wider than the rest) but I don't want to risk buying a narrower boot in case it doesn't fit. ( buying online because the shop is such a rip off).

Well your kind of in a bad position. Ns can't really help as we can't see your foot in the boot. But I'm going to guess the booter is probably not going to fit too well as you said it felt comfy. Boot in the shop when you first try them should feel tight and not hugely comfy. If they already feel comfy straight away once they bed in they will prob feel a bit big. What other brands of boots did the shop have? It sounds like you need a 100mm it less lasted boot prob in a 25 in anything but a full tilt. You said you tried a spk so what other salomon did they have? Did they have the Xmax 100. That may be worth trying. The bonus with that is it has a full custom shell so the shell can be molded to fit perfectly. Other then that like I say it's hard to advise as we have not seen your feet.

Hey Russell !

Snowcentre, it's overpriced and they hardly had anything. I found some full tilt booters in my size which fitted, so I think I'm gonna buy some online because they were $900NZD ($700US). I found some online for 300NZD. I just was wondering if anyone had bought them and had problems. Also, I don't think I have a wide foot, but they fitted so yeah

When you say they fitted, how tight did they feel? How close were your toes to the front when you stop straight upright?

Usually Snowcentre is pretty good and you also have to realize every single shop in NZ is overpriced when compared to the US, that is just the way it is.

Maybe try Ballistics at Barry's Point, also remember to try different boots not just Full Tilts and try non freestyle boots also because a good fitting all mountain boot will do better in the park then a poorly fitting freestyle boot.

Oh and also get a custom footbed! They're really good (but expensive) and you should never ski without one in my opinion, worth every penny.

Fairly tight, not overly tight. When i stood up my toes were almost at the end

Yeah i know. They have to ship and pay tax so it works out about the same. It's just I am in Europe at Christmas and I found some in Germany for really cheap. I did try all the boots they had in my size. Thanks for the help
