First time you hit a rail

Everyone remembers it like the first time they spit goo outta their peniles/vajayjays so let's hear some stories...

My first time was a flat rail on a small hip-style setup. I was blasting Guano Apes and ate complete shit. It was awesome.




I had another idea for a thread but apparently I'm very close to being banned so this is all I could come up with.

didn't realize you should have dull edges to hit a rail.... hit the rail and immediately caught and edge and ate complete shit..

Rainbow Rail at my home town resort many years ago. was on a pair of race skis, and forgot the concept of sliding the rail sideways. needless to say, i straddled the rail all the way to the peek, and back down. good times

it was just a small flat rail, but not knowing any better i jumped on with my feet really close together with most of my weight on my back foot, haha probably made it about 6 inches before slipping out.

It was a small flat rail and I was on rental skis which had the DIN set at like 3 as soon as I got onto the rail both skis came off I slipped back and landed on top of the rail and got fucked up pretty hard

so i approached at decent speed jump turn 60 go halfway somehow my left ski getsoff the rail goes under hits the post/support then my right ski does the same and i hit the rail with my face..end off story

lake louise 2 years ago. saw a kid in a level 1 tall tee do this ride on rail and 270 out, and though "lets do it"
i went at it from the side and basically slid off immediately but my brake got pushed up really far and i broke my bindings. sunshine the next day wasnt fun in rental skis :(

Flat tube with dug into the ground and i tried go fast then like slide but a little bit of the rail was out so i hit the rail with my entire right side and got a huge bruise

It was a 16 foot flat bar. some girls on the lift above me that were in the 9th grade when i was only in the 8th. went in real confident and came about 5 inches from the rail when i decided to pussy out. i went onto the rail at about a 45 degree angle shattering my balls. one of my greatest memories to date.

Normal flat rail, popped onto it and was leaning way to far back, slipped out and took the impact right on my ass, leaving me with a gnarly bruise and shattered dreams

My first time was on a little 5 foot skinny about a foot off the gorund and i was so amazed i had stayed on it and not split i forgot to spin off of it and landed at 90 degrees... needless to say i ate shit

Late spring 2-3 years ago... No flat rails in the small park... Only down rails.. First attempt go up pussy out and end up jumping over it like a bitch... 2nd try same thing.. Final attempt before closing.. Hit it for less than a second and jump off lol

hit a flat box and sort of did in between 5050 and rail slide on one foot then fell off the side. first rail was a little skateboard rail my brother and i set up on a golf course when the first snow fell in like 2005.

I was at COC 3 years ago, decided I wanted to slide a rail. Went up to Tom Wallisch, wanted to ask him to teach me but pussied out, went up to Nick Martini, Clayton Vila and Sean Jordan, I didn't know who they were and thought they seemed pretty good, so I asked them, Nick told me to look at the end so I went to hit it and ate shit. Tried again the next day with my coach and slid most a 10 foot flat bar at about 2mph.
