Billy goat sizing. K+ for help

I'm about 5'8" and 135 lbs. I was wondering if a 176 billy goat would be a good fit for me as a skier. I live in the pnw so snow is heavy and I want something that is playful but can stomp cliffs. I heard that on3p runs big.

I'm 5'9" and ski the 186, As said above I would go with the 186 over the 176 if i were you

Height wise, you are right in that range where you could go either way. Weight wise, you are pretty light for a 186.

I would personally lean more towards the 176cm for you.

Ahhh! Yes, finally!

Alright, Africa, I was exactly in the same spot as you. You consider yourself a strong skier, no? I'm your height and a little lighter than you and I ride the 191s. The effective edge on the ski ends up being quite short(it's ~140cm, if memory serves) so they turn quite quick. Billy Goats are really turny in pow. (And like my fav pow ski ever)

If you know how to carve on real snow, then go for the 191s. If you absolutely need to go shorter, you can go into the 180 range but 170 is stupidly short for your size and this particular ski. I've skied this ski for a while now in varying conditions and I love the longer length.

I'm 5'9'' 170 and own the 186. I feel it's the perfect size for me. You are pretty light. I'd say maybe go 186 with the touring version. Also you live in Seattle right? I'd just go to the ON3P factory and try a demo pair at hood. See what feels better for yourself.

FWIW, I used to ski the 191, sizing down to the 186 to get a little more nimble in thick tree's, and maybe get some face shots. I'm 5,9, and over 200.

At your weight there is no way you will sink the RES shovel on those things in 176.

I have heard a ton of different stuff from a ton of different people. I currently ski a 179 obsethed and those are hard to handle in the crud for me and deep snow at times, partially because they are an all around shitty ski (in my opinion). I don't know if that helps at all to help me narrow down a good length.

Moderately, depending on how hard you want to work them. They are definitely not a jib ski, but are fun nonetheless. (They charge hard, and turn fast. Rare combo)

rumor has it that blister is testing this years BG down south. Other options Op would be for more playful skis would be Caylor and jeffery. Both would slay PNW pow but be more playful over all ski.

as long as you have strong legs, it shouldn't be a problem. Some people (such as me) have very low amounts of body fat, so they don't weigh a lot but are still strong

Definaty go for the 186. you could defiantly drive it, and it would help on bigger stuff.

The tails are pretty stiff already so, even with the 178, you can still stomp big features without having to size up
