In my area a synonym of very is "mad". Like mad cool, mad hot. It seems like no other place uses this word. We also use dope, sick (more common). We call our neighborhoods neighborhoods, not subdivisions. Soda is called soda not pop, lollipops aren't called suckers. A lot of new kids that come to my school end up using words that I've never really heard before, so I was wondering what kind of words you guys use? We never say gnarly, radical wicked, or anything like that but I have heard new kids say it. Might be a stupid thread but I just think it's weird how language varys from state to state, country to country etc.

I hear east coast kids say "wicked" a lot.

Mostly I just say "way" instead of "very". "That was way dope man!" etc. etc.
Also, "rad", but never "radical"

pretty much everyone i know (age range 21-26) says tight, we started saying it a bunch a few years ago as a joke and it stuck haha (circa the "tight" clownschool edit).

I've never been to anywhere that swears more. We use 4 letter words as punctuation and as a means for emphasis more than we use them as actual swears... I don't even notice I say them most of the time.

I feel like I don't have many weird words that I use. I say sick sometimes, but mostly I just use awesome or cool haha. I say ridiculous a lot I guess? Also, if you get a few drinks in me, "fuckin" pretty much becomes the only adjective I remember how to use.

in south vt i hear whats gucci or if someone does something sick they yell out guccciiii or bur!. then theres mahalo, ghost ride the whip ex: after someone revs their engine or does a burnout all u will hear is ghost ride the whip!. most popular around my area is "smash and dash on the dumb batch!" its in reference to banging a girl then never talking again except for a booty call.

Western ny. We say sick, mad, hyped. We also use the term dirty and nasty for cool things. For example, that 360 was mad nasty. Or damn that kids dirty at skiing.

I do like using words that aren't popular around here. I call tools chads right to their faces and they have no idea. My crew also started the word "scab" in my area. A scab is a scumbag. White trash scumbags are generally called scabs by us
