Salomon Brakes not installed correctly

Yeh tabs and eyelets can be troublesome. Once I had a brake from Salomon ship where the tabs were actually spaced wider than the eyelets, so it was impossible to mount them correctly.

Yes, they are not all the same.  One should replace with the exact same type as the plastic part is often a different shape.

The metal part is actually universal so should fit any salomon binding fine. There are a few differnt shapes for the upper plastic part, but you should be able to swap out the metal tabs. So if you end up breaking the tabs on a brake and only have say a z brake when you need an sth you can just swap out the metal tabs from one to the other. Ocansinally you will get a break with a manufacturing error where the tabs are spaces too wide but it rare. One thing to look for is the brake screw diameter that does change from speed bindings to regular retail.

Also just to say the tabs are gone from next season for the sth2. They now use the same break as the guardian so hopefully no more break tab issues.
