Im just getting into graphic design, specifically in Photoshop, looking for new sources and ideas. Post typography/ graphic design/ your own designs/ inspiration etc...

Graphic design is done in Illustrator.
Learn that instead of Ps.

Graphic design utilizes both programs concurrently. Photoshop is needed for some things Illustrator can't do or is not good at, and vice versa. Designers go back and forth between the two.

I've been a graphic designer for a moderately sized company that made designs for national and European companies for three years, I use Ai 70% of the time, Ps 20% and Id 10%.

I may have voiced it a bit harsh and wrongly but imo Illustrator is harder to learn then Ps and if you do anything with logo design you will hardly step out of Ai at all. Ps is much easier to learn and figure out.

I'm not calling into question any of your background or qualifications. You said it yourself in this post, 70% 20% 10%. I was merely saying that there isn't one MASTER program used for design, it's a collaboration of programs. But yes, I agree Illustrator is much more difficult, and if we're talking about logo design then it is specific to Illustrator.

An understanding of both programs (and the whole Adobe Design Suite for that matter) is optimal for competent designing. Not trying to cause a ruckus here, just trying to be accurate for OP's sake.

yes lawrence, I have barely skimmed the surface, but illustrator is much more difficult to figure out. I took a class on it, and have somewhat of a grasp with it, but ill have to mess around a little more.
