European freeskiers

In the past 10 years or so, I've seen a huge boom in European freeskiing. Britain has produced athletes like woodsy and places such as Sweden have produced a ton of talent as well. Your thoughts? I am sorry if this is a repost. I search bared it and couldn't find anything.

+ She could probably ski with the men without anyone noticing.

There's a bunch of good European skiers, some ridiculously good steeps skiers, park less so, but still a lot of crazy park guys, especially young kids.

Less Brits though, Woodsy's the only one who's tripled AFAIK, not gonna comment on the dryslope/fridge kids.

The Scandies and Frencies have always and are still killing it with Candide, Olson, Hunder Haarlaut, Woodsy, Rolland ect. Christiansen, Summerhayes, Berra, Bagge, Dahlström get it done for the females.

meh, you can get jesters for about 120 without much trouble, as for the skis, the sidewalls are really beat, without seeing the bases you can only really speculate, I wouldn't pay more than £30 for the skis.

Yeah i see what your saying for sure. a huge portion of the edits on newschoolers come from Europe and i have definitely noticed the same. Not to say anything in offense to anyone from Europe because most of them are fucking dirty, but it seems like there a dime a dozen. its like basketball players in america or hockey players in Canada.

What's so cool about the European ski scene is that like in America there are so many different individual scenes that contribute towards the whole, but in Europe you have tons of different languages and cultures which is probably why it isn't as cohesive as the US. Also there isn't a place like SLC where a ton of industry are based all speaking the same language.

There is some killer stuff coming out of Europe at the moment, particularly from the smaller ammeteur crews. Skinanigans in Norway and Sweden; Life Steeze Media in Moscow; Awone Films from Switzerland; 22 Productions in Finland... all these guys are doing their own thing and representing their scenes and capturing their cultures to a certain extent. The freestyle over the ex-Soviet MIG fighter plane in Earthshine by LSM... how much more Russian can you get?!

Almost forgot the Freeski-Crew from Germany... Stammtisch is full of local culture and spots from around the Bavarian Alps. Freeskiing in Europe is alive and well!
