I always think its funny when people say that Vail is flat, or is built on the wrong side of the highway. While Vail doesn't have the nar terrain, I wouldn't define it as flat. Vail, is soo big that there are always nice stashes of un-tracked pow, and when it hasn't snowed in a while. You just have to know where to look. Out of all the I-70 resorts Vail and BC are my favorite. I really like the stone creek chutes at BC (when its open) Has some small decent pillow lines, with some decent cliffs. I like skiing at BC more then Vail, way way less people. But at the same time, no matter how many people are at vail, there is plenty and plenty of room for everyone. Shit.....it takes sometimes over an hour to get back to the back bowls, which I enjoy very much before it gets all tracked out, since everyone and their mother flocks to there right from the start.
Way to much hate about Colorado in general. Utah is great, no questions. But I skied the most epic POW day of my life last year at Wolf Creek. Nice little mountain. What it lacks in size it makes up with good terrain, and tons of POW. One of the most under rated mountains.
