So I bought this Tie down strap and ratchet, and decided to use it as a slack line. Got it under $40, which is sick. But I'm wondering, what's the difference between my Tie Down Strap and a normal slack line, in terms of performance?
if youre using 1" tubular webbing, its way stretchier and narrower than a standard gibbon slackline, making it more challenging (but more fun) for walking the line and doing static moves. the commercial kind of line you see people jumping on and doing crazy tricks tighten down a lot more, which gives it more bounce like a trampoline. some people say that 1" tubular is for hippies, some people say theres no fun in slacklining on a line that isnt slack. only you can decide for yourself.
