I'm looking for a new ski. Something playful but not overly soft. These two have come up and both look sick so I'm going to leave it to you NS to make the decision. If you have any other ski recommendations let me know as well.
I had this question last season and ultimately went will the ar7. They seemed to be a better all around ski for both jumps and rails, and can even slay corduroy too. The punx would be great if you are mostly into rails because they're pretty flexy but I'm glad I chose the ar7. Also consider the line chronic
I prefer jumps and skied punx last two seasons. I'm a big guy and they held up great. They also ripped the mountain. Can't go wrong. they may be soft but they're solid underfoot
I had this exact same question 2 days ago.
I went with ar7s. IMO they look more durable and i like a bit stiffer ski.
They both are super good skis and you can't wrong with either.
I skied the punx all season and didn't have a problem with them. Their great skis! If you're worried about them being too soft, next years punx are a bit stiffer than previous years.
this. the punx are the funnest skis i have ridden, and i would recommend them. Next years seem very comparable to the ar7 and they are $50 cheaper. Next years punx have a little rocker and a wider platform on top of a stiffer construction. This will enhance their all mountain performance which i feel was their only downside.
