They are everywhere in my town, I wake up in the morning and I here them, I go bed I here them. They all are buzzing around sounding like a swarm of bees. I think that the world would be a better place if there were none. Everyone in favor say "I".
A car that's "all show and no go," typically associated with Japanese econoboxes like Civics and Accords because they're cheap as shit and the Fast and the Furious made them almost cool in the late 90s/early 2000s. You'll typically hear them before you see them, as the EBay bolt-on muffler they bought awakens the bee hive that is the dinky 4 banger engine in most ricers. When you see them, though, ohhh you see them. Usually decked out in unpainted body kits, massive aluminum wings, and peel and stick decals, they look like something out of Paul Walker's wet dreams.
the 1st movie pretty much launched the whole civic thing and im not sure but the whole 'V-Dub' thing but the only honda to ever accept performance wise is an s2k just like johnny tran
from what ive seen they do ricey things to there cars but lets not get into another fight. i will only say that hondas are the most ricey car out there and the other japanese cars like nissan, mitsubishi, and subaru IMO arent remotely rice because they actually have high performance. but if OPs petition works 75% of newschoolers will be gone from threads
"Rice" has nothing to do with any particular brand. It's just a generic term to describe cars that look blingy, flashy, etc, but have no real performance to back up the looks. It was originally most popular with Japanese cars.
well i can agree with you that they can be flashy and ive come to take back my s2k comment. but i still dont get why if i see a jetta with HID lights, lowered with camber, and chrome wheels its not rice to most people but a lowered STI with chrome shiny wheels and also HID lights is considered a lot of rice to some people. well whatever i guess ill eventually be a 'ricer' to people when i get a new car
So what if they actually drive a fast car? I hate seeing an 02' civic with an axleback that sounds like a lawnmower... But when I see a Maserati cruise by making half again more noise than the little civic, it brightens my day. Is it just the noise that bothers you? Or the attitude
Its not the noise its just the fact that its a ricer, I love the sound of a nice car that ment to be loud, just not one that sounds like a swarm of bees roaring down the road like a civic. There is just no comparison.
for all you who don't understand the concept of a ricer let me make it clear ricers can be any car with the following mods whether its a r34 skyline gtr or a v6 mustang.
coming from a honda owner, i fucking despise kids that throw a $100 autozone fart can on their civic and think its fucking fast. they ruin it for those of us that actually have done quality work. so i guess i agree with OP in that rice cakes can burn in fucking hell.
