Replying to Rant about pushy parents

I went for a ski at my local fridge the other week and didn't realise but there was practice going on for a comp the next day. The atmosphere was pretty serious, people were doing stretches at the top of the slope (very serious stuff) and then there was a dad who was shouting at his son telling him to 270 on to a rail and the son was saying he couldn't and looked like he was about to cry and didn't seem to be enjoying it at all, found it all rather ridiculous. Kids should just be enjoying their skiing and not be forced to do it by pushy parents just because they think their kid will get in the olympics or whatever.
