This is like every-day shit if you go to American youth sporting events.
I remember growing up and playing baseball as a 10 year old... the parents of some of the kids on that team just made them feel like shit. I was having fun, because my parents just encouraged me to. the other kids weren't because it was more of a chore at that point.
Same thing happened growing up with soccer (erm, football) where parents would just freak the fuck out if their kids weren't scoring goals. "YOU'RE PLAYING MY SON AS A DEFENDER? WHY? HE'S THE BEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM!" (which is why he was probably playing stopper, idiot)
