Replying to Ski/Quiver suggestion needed.
Hello
I just spent the last 2 years living in Japan and now I'll be going back home (Pacific northwest) and instead of shipping my skis back I decided to buy new ones.
I was skiing a pair of Sir Francis Bacons, which I loved for their playfulness, energy and maneuverality, riding mostly off-piste/sidecountry powder and a tiny bit of park. What I didn't like about them was their weight when you're carrying them, the fact that they're not very confident inspiring when trying to bust through crud/going at high speed, and how they could be a bit too turn when you lay them on edge.
Now I want to replace the Bacons with two pairs of skis, one for all-mountain/park, and another for deeper stuff and some touring.
First of all, I'm in my 20's, 6' and 140lb, an upper-intermediate/advanced skier, pretty chill for the most part but do like to go hard when the conditions call for it.
I'm just starting to get more and more into touring, so I'm not looking for a dedicated touring set up, but something that I can maybe use 50/50 in/out of bounds. I'd like something lighter yet stable than my bacons and also a tad bit more directional, but not necessarily much wider. I've been looking at the Liberty Helix and the Surface Walk Frees. I'ma bit worried about their stiffness, can anyone comment on that?
Any suggestions for similar skis? I'd ideally like something that's under 1900g per ski, and something that's not a 100% charger.
As for the park/all mountain skis, I'm not too fussed and will probably try to pick up a used pair, but I was thinking of something like the Line Blends (similar to the SFB but a bit narrower?) Again, any suggestions would be welcome.
Pardon the long post, I hope you guys can give me some feedback.
