So I feel like there should be some sort of facebook group or forum where people local to an area can upload pictures and gps locations of urban spots that are potentially session-able. Like you're driving a back road to work and you see this doable down rail but it's July... problem solved. Upload the spot to the site and you could like get stoked on it then sesh it when there's actually snow. I also strongly feel said website or group should be called "I'd Hit That". Yay or nay?

I may be mistaken but a while ago didn't someone create an urban spot app? You could upload pic and location for the spot.

A few of the regionals have threads.

If you didn't know, a lot of people will not share spots.

I don't have any problem sharing famous spots that have been sessioned before but will never post movie quality metal.

They have this for longboarding. nwlongboarding.com or something. All the hills are plotted on a map and categorized by what kind of riding you want to do its pretty sweet.

I don't ski urban so I don't understand. Why the hell does it matter if somebody else sessions a spot you found? Robb Gaffney wrote an entire book exposing every last cliff, chute and line in Squaw Valley.

I feel urban is a little different. If a urban spot gets too much exposure it runs the risk of getting shut down permanently and possibility of cops stopping by. Pow and fishing holes Don't run that big of risk.

I just have a feeling spots have a higher risk of getting shut down when more and more people find out. And plus posting it on facebook or whatever when in todays world anyone can see that shit, including landowners, local authorities doesn't really help too. Call me paranoid or whatever but I'd prefer to have my shit on the DL.

Pow stashes get skied out if people know about them that's why they are kept secret. Also, someone could come catch all the fish in your fishing spot. Or make it crowded at least.

this isnt what urban skiing should be about. go out and find your own features and hit them your way, half the fun is finding them. its not always easy but some of the best features come from creativity and hard work.

If anyone is from the mass/NH area this one has plenty of spots and I know more than 40 more are supposed to be updated onto the app before summer ends... I think it might be on facebook too

Also its kind of like bragging rights because the first person to hit a spot gets all the credit. I'm not too concerned because I suck but that's how others feel.

Seriously, as someone who is not good enough for urban yet, I love walking around my local cities, spotting things that hopefully by the end of this season or next I could hit. Most of my non skiing friends think I am nuts when its mid-july and we walk past a park and I am like, damn, look at that rail. That would be a great urban rail to hit, hope I can do it some day.

Nobody who is mildly serious about filming urban spots just gives away their spots, unless it's beneficial to them. For example, if you're hitting something big and you need manpower then you tell more people, but I'm not a fan of just giving out spots
