Apple disabled GBA4IOS

So turns out the Gameboy emulator that was awesome got banned by Apple. People that already had it can use it but you can no longer download it. This pisses me off because mine was glitchy so I deleted it and now I can't get it back.

So for those of you who saw my link in the "favorite iPhone apps" thread. This is why you cannot get the Gameboy on your phone.

Summed up: Fuck Apple

If you still want to use the emulator, just set your devices clock back. It works as long as you keep the date before whenever apple released the update or whatever.

I have no idea about Canada, but in the USA on the major providers, you pay like $20-30 extra a month for mobile hot spot, unless you jailbreak or root.

i mean this would fuck up a whole lotta other stuff, but if you have a phone for the sole reason of playing pokemon then go for it!

that's pretty lame. yea it's free here as far as I know. i've done it tons wihtout paying extra. if I didn't jailbreak my phone, i'd go android for sure.

The real issue is the fact that even after jailbreaking, apple (tries) to make the decisions for you. This update is a prime example. Which sucks because the iphone is such a great piece of hardware. Its not a gs4 or htc one, but it is definitely one of the best built smartphones of all time. But you cant use it how you want. They whole system is filled with limitations and flaws because apple tries to have its hand in everything. The entire point of Android is that a person who has some common sense with modern technology can use it in anyway they want. At least thats what google wants, phone manufacturers and companies try to limit it, but there is a huge dev community that breaks down the walls big companies put up. But because IOS is totally closed off from society, it limits what people can produce.

Apple wants to control your experience with its hardware the entire time you own it, Google wants some $ from ads but is very willing to let you do what you want.

Lastly the only real thing iphones can do better is picture quality. You guys have it made on that. Anything else androids can do equally as good or better.

we can use personal hot spot whenever. but we also pay waaaay more than you guys for our plans.

my plan is unlimited E/W after 6 (but i never hit my minute max anyway, i think its 100?), unlimited text always, plus 'my 10' unlimited everything within canada, plus call display, plus 1gb of data.
its a $70 plan and comes to around 80 after the bullshit fees.

i hear Verizon is trying to make its way north which would be fantastic. Bell and Rogers are anal raping our whole country

Evan, Verizon actually had to pay 1.25 million to settle this. The FCC ruled that they couldn't charge people more for the mobile hotspot feature, restricting the use of the data one already paid for.

Set your time back before July when downloading. I know someone else said it.

I did it and beat Pokemon Ruby in like three days. Haha

I wouldn't say rooting it is "safe". My brother just completely bricked his galaxy s3. He downloaded a "safe" file and it got corrupted somehow. But regardless it's amazing what a rooted phone/jailbroken phone can do.
