I'm 6'0" tall and 175 pounds I'm thinking the 185 size would be too big, but I herd when a ski has early rise it makes it feel and ride shorter.
Any advice would be good +k for good help..
185 for sure, that will be perfect for your size considering that the Blends don't really have so much early rise/rocker that really affects the length.
I have the 178s and I am 6ft and a similar weight and i kind of wish i had the 185s. theyre nice and playful and everything but wish they were a bit longer for more confidence on edge on them esp as i've just moved to some 179 park skis.
In my opinion I would say it would be fine as not only has the blend got a reasonable amount of early rise the sizes are "line sizes" so i measured the length from tip to tail on my 178 blends and its 176 so I would say the 185 is going to be around 183 true length and ride like a 179 which is about right for someone like you plus if you're buying a pair of the newer models theyre going to be much lighter than the older models, like the ones i'm on, so you should have no problems throwing them around.
I can see where you're coming from when you see 185 you do think theyre going to be looooong but they really dont feel as long as they should because of the early rise.
Anyone know the length of the 185 blends compared to the 184 bacons? I was on the bacons but I'm "downgrading" to the Blends, and that extra cm seems intimidating especially because the blends have less rocker (?) than the bacons..
I defintely didn't feel that the bacons were too long, but how will the blends feel?
6' and 140lbs by the way, looking at the 2013 model.
