For this upcoming ski season I need a new pair of skis and it is between the Rocker 2 108 or the Bacons. The problem is that I cant decide witch one I want and I want advice. Price is not a problem for me and neither is how the ski looks. Suggestions are welcome.

gear talk. and it depends what you will be skiing. the sir francis bacon can do everything, its my favorite ski that i have ever ridden. however, on super deep days where there's 2.5+ feet of snow the rocker 2 would perform better. i would recommend the bacons, they're just so versatile, and the performance difference on super deep days is minimal between the two

Bacons, a lot more versatile of a ski. Very playful

Bacons are probably the way to go. not only will they generally ski better, but they also will last longer, because line makes high quality skis, and salomon makes unbelievably shitty skis.

I'm going to say the 108, its such a playfull and light ski. The swing weight is so low thanks to the honey comb tip and tail, which means you can pivot the ski so fast and really throw it around. I was on the big brother the 122 for three season and it was awsome. I used it in thee d as my all m t ski it was that versatile and the 108 is obvious even more versatile. Durability wise they hold up great I hd no issues at all. The line in comparison is good, but I did not find it as playfull. I always find line a bit soft and sluggish. It's a good ski but in my opinion not on the same level as the 108.

It would be helpful to know your height/weight/expectations here...other than look of the ski..I am 6'4 185 and I ride the bacons every day. I ski park with them, ride pow with them up to 2feet of fresh, and rip groommers are them. They are a great ski and that little bit of early rise makes them great. I have grown to like them greatly. I have never skied the rocker 2 but deciding on a ski depends highly on what you plan to use it for.

You can take Bacons anywhere on the hill and have a blast

I am 5'10 135ish and mainly ski powder but would like a ski that can do well at everything. I am also 16 years old if that matters

I would say line has better quality skis. At first, i thought that only Salomon's park skis had durability issues, but then i purchased the Salomon Lord. The top sheet is peeling all over the place after half a season, and i did very little rail skiing. I have heard very little issues with the bacons, and they seem like great skis. (Note: My skis are from a few years back and they may have fixed these issues or the ski may have been defective. I was only trying to be as helpful as possible because this should not happen to brand new skis.)
