Ski sizing help (Opus)

Im 5'8'-5'9" and 135 lbs and was wondering if 183 opus would be a good ski for me. I currently ski 179 Obsetheds and sometimes have trouble turning them in powder. From what ive heard, opus are more playful and my obsetheds are kinda clunky. im looking for something a little more jibby too. K+ for help!

I am also from the pnw, so the snow I'm getting is probably heavy

They are going to keep making the 178 right? I'm your hight and skid that length all of last year. You could go 183 but it might be a little big. If you get the 13/14 ski the graphics are sick.

179 you sacrifice a little charging for playfulness and 183 you sacrifice a little playfulness for charging. Im pretty close in size to you (5'10" 130lbs) and i would go for a 183, but i dont know PNW snow. You could really go either way at your size so try to demo them if possible

i think k2s measure long so these lengths could be similar in true size

They aren't k2 though... They are both owned by the same parent company but besides that they are completely independent of each other

Go for the 185, they ski short. I'm 5'10 and i'm on the 85 and the're perfectooo

But I'm like 175 pounds, so it might help to.

It took me sometime to get used to them coming from some 175 JJ's. But the bigger the platform of the opus was good the clifff landing and kept me secure at high speed, but not to fast, they are not some rocker 115. I was on some baron's so the flex was pretty much killed. I skied them on sth and they we're way funnier. Usually a a small ski guy. But 185 felt small. They pivot so easily in the trees and they are so fun to play around.

Just try the two size man, you'll see the difference, I can told you to get the 85 but you might prefer the 78 and vice versa
