I had to go once, my scheduled time to show up was when I was out of town, sent them a letter, they didnt respond and I didn't show up.

They say you can appeal and that's what I did, so I'd try that, make up some bullshit and if they never get back to you, don't show up and blame them.


You could also go to the screening and say you hate gay people and black people.

Doesn't matter, they won't pick someone who is openly racist and prejudice towards anything, it doesn't make a good juror.

Or like some of us said, don't show up. Are you in college? Say you didnt get the letter because your car is registered/license with your old address or something even though thats illegal, they wont do shit.

you could talk to your imaginary dog when you go into some kind of preliminary hearing or whatever. bring something to throw him, like a ball or frisbee and randomly throw it. then act disappointed with your lazy dog.

One way I have been told other than the racist/prejudice route is to make it known that you always believe what a police officer says to be truthful. You are therefore biased to police testimony and the defense attorney will want to dismiss you. How you would actually go about doing this with some subtly is beyond me. Do you have any family or friends who are cops, sheriffs, attorneys, etc.? The judge will ask you during selection as a way to get rid of potentially biased jurors. Come up with a list of people you can name.

Don't just skip it. Depending on where you live they can issue a bench warrant and/or fine you.

Just tell them you hate blacks, asians, hispanics, europeans, women, gays, transgender people, bisexuals, poor people, middleclass people, people who aren't christian, atheists, liberals, communists, socialists, young people, old people, betas, short people, ugly people, frat bros, and any other category of people you can think of to hate

You could also just suck it up and perform your civic duty without complaint. Small sacrifice for all that freedom and shit. Yes it may be boring, but if the trial goes on for a while they'll compensate you. And who knows, you might even learn something. It, it could be like, CSI !
And a lot of the time they won't pick you anyway ...

Playing the race card is an excellent way to get out of the case, essentially whatever the defendent or prosecutors victims races are you hate them.
