Anybody on here watch The West Wing? I watched it a little back when I was on tv but never really followed. I've been on a tear for a few weeks now and its a really addicting and interesting show. I'm about halfway through season 4. Anyone else into it?

yeah i've seen up to season 2 over a year and a bit, just never really got into it, i watch like 3/4 episodes once a month or so. Good show though, really well thought.

Great show up until either the fifth or sixth season when it kind of dropped off after Aaron Sorkin stopped writing the episodes. Definitely one of those shows you can watch over and over though.

Ahh ! I love the west wing ! All of the walking and the talking... But mostly I have to give but ups to Aaron Sorkin, who often managed to show both sides of the big issues and illustartate how sometimes the best ideas get watered down in compromise. It also helped that he had Dee Meyers, former White House press secretary for the Clinton administration as a consultant.

Just watched the season two episode 17 people. HOLY SHIT this might be the best one yet. The look that Leo gives Toby as he's going off on him and Bartlet (3:48). That was fucking powerful, and it's the first time you see the president as anything besides the honest, upstanding guy the public thinks they elected. This episode is pretty dark and scary in how power and position can skew perspective, and it's crazy how Sorkin has until this point has lulled the audience into complacency with the president's/Leo's actions.

I've already rewatched that scene a couple of times, and I will again later. Clip for all those who need a refresher:
