Juanitas are good. But they're also much different than other tortilla chips. MUCH different. I like them to change things up. When I first had them I had the same reaction: they are AWESOME. But after eating them for a while, I tried the more conventional tortilla chips and then they tasted really good.

you can't buy the best tortilla chips in bags. get some extra thin tortillas made from either nixtamalized masa harina or blue hopi corn, and deep fry them in your fat of choice, i normally use either bacon or duck fat, which may not be all that mexican but are still really good. Avacado oil chips are really good too but its very expensive and not ideal for high heat cooking.
