Replying to X Games Detroit

So now that Los Angeles is no longer going to host the X Games there is a huge push by Metro Detroiters to get it moved there. As much as I would love to be able to see X Games live in person I really don't think the city can handle it. Don't get me wrong, I love Detroit, but the city can't even handle their own fireworks without a shooting, stabbing, or other violent crime. A lot of people have argued against me saying things about when we hosted the Superbowl, World Series, DEMF/Movement, and the Belle Isle Grand Prix. As cool as it would be to have X Games a 30 minute drive from my parents home, I really don't believe it is in X Games best interest. No one wants to go visit Detroit, and Superbowl XL was proof being that it was one of the lowest attended Superbowls in the last 20 years.

Any thoughts on X Games in Detroit?

I will give them credit for a lot of time, money, and effort involved though
