What are some good books for teens?

Okay, my aunt who also is a professor asked me to compile a list of books good for teens. Please help me out and give me some good books for teens. Im not gonna read them but I still need to know what is good.

Lord of the Rings is always good, as is the Foundation and Robot series by Issac Asimov. Dune series is also good, and there was another one by Frank Herbert called The Dragon in the Sea that was really good, a bit short though.

Berlin Noir trilogy-about a detective with the berlin police pre WWII while the nazi's come to power. absolutely fascinating books to read and really good written by phillip kerr

You're an idiot. No kid wants to read a book for its moral value or its beautiful prose. The only way kids will enjoy reading is if the book is entertaining enough to keep them reading. None of the books you suggested are that entertaining.

Like seriously, how do you explain the immense success of Harry Potter, Eragon, The Hunger Games, or the Game of Thrones among teens if you legitimately think teens aren't interested in fantasy novels?

i really enjoyed tom clancy's book. the hunt for red october is one of my favorites. also, atlas shrugged is probably my favorite book of all time. i wouldnt say its great for many teenagers though
