Fat & Playful one ski quiver.

I'm looking for some ski suggestions for the 13/14 season. I've been riding Armada AR7 but I want to make a switch to something a little wider and more playful.

I want something that can rip all over your typical east coast mountain, with a lot of casual park riding (mostly rails and medium sized jumps)

I've been thinking about the knew K2 Pettior 102's.

Let me know any suggestions you guys have.

My bud has atomic vatages a all mountain ski. And its pretty dang wide.

Take a look to the Rossi Storm, I have them and they are a really great ski for want you want. Also you cand look the line chronic, they are pretty similar. I think the storm are a little more park oriented

Thanks guys. I'm probably looking for something with a little bit of rocker to make it more playful. And probably closer to 100 underfoot. How is it skiing a wide ski like that in the park?

If you're looking for park oriented performance, without sacrificing the ability to ski all mountain, for the EC I'd look at stuff ~100 underfoot.

I had a chance to ride the shredditor 102, and they fucking rip the whole mountain! You won't be disappointed, from rails to jumps to groomers to chopped up pow to freshies they just shred!!!

Faction Prodigy is a perfect ski. Its 98mm underfoot, and it does pretty much everything, from park, to pow, to BC booters. Its got a little rocker (10mm over 150mm) in the tip and tail, with camber underfoot and comes in a sick shade of orange.

Cool thanks guys.

So a question about the K2 Shreditor 102s... I'm reading that they aren't a great park ski but you guys are saying otherwise?

What do people think about the durability of ski like this for 2-3 seasons of rails?

You could try a pair of g-butters too. Both are very playful, once just a little fatter for those pow days

I use opus as my one ski quiver. Learned how to ski rails on them, stomp 180s off cliffs, and hit bigger kickers. They love to butter and turn the mountain in to my playground.

Yeah, my cousin rides the Bacons on the east coast and he loves them for park, pow, and just all around ripping. Theyre super playful, too.

love my lizzies, and would imagine bacons would be just as fun. i'd also check out the moment PB&Js, they fit your criteria perfectly and are probably gonna be my next pair

If your planning on two to three seasons on any ski dont try to find a one ski quiver, Its an awesome plan but once you start to progress especially if you're going to be hitting rails, park jumps, booters, hill riding and skiing pow. you're going to need more than one ski, I know its not easy but get the money get 1 ski for each differencia. 1 for all park & urban, 1 for all pow and hill riding, moguls, comp material etc. That way you wont end up breaking a pair in a season or two by overusing it. Plus it's not worth having a ski thats gonna do fine at everything rather then two sets that'll kick ass at everything and make skiing a hell of a lot funner for you. If you really cant do it get a really tough company like volkl or something. Good Luck!

havent seen anyone post up the nordica soul riders... you should absolutely take a peek at those! for reference, check out recent mcslay edits or the nordica hood edit

Surface new life! They are a bit if an overkill, but they're so light and stiff. It makes it so they can rip carves and still butter around with all the rocker!

not a one ski quiver, if you get to on piste, moguls, packed powder cliffs, no good. great ski for untouched and jibbing groomers, almost nothing else, I had these for two year

I would seriously recommend the magic j's. Super fat can butter like none other still do well in park. However they do feel sluggish on boxes and rails when trying to spin
