So I am going of to college this fall and plan on bringing up my laptop, interface, midikeyboard, mic, and monitors to setup a little dorm room studio. Does anyone have any tips on locking stuff up and protecting your gear?

I never had problems when I was living in res, but I also didn't have monitors at the time. I don't think anyone will be out to steal your shit though, just lock your door and don't tell too many people you have $2000 worth of audio gear stashed in your room. I actually left my door unlocked when I was gone for a week one time and didn't have anything stolen, including my vape and my microkorg hahaha.

dorm. to be more specific on the gear I'll be bringing up a microkorg, NI komplete audio 6 interface, kaossilator, an mxl 770 mic, and whatever monitors I end up getting (I've been using passive speakers or headphones for a while but plan on investing in some monitors this summer)

don't let anybody in your room if you bring all that shit. seriously. i've had a laptop stolen out of my dorm before, its not chill! i would possibly hold off on bringing all your shit to college for the first semester/year and set up shop when you have a bigger place like an apartment or house.
