Dps wailer 99 vs blizzard bonafide

I dont hear much about these skis on this site and I thought it might be a good idea to ask about them, I am 6 ft 150 lbs, I would be using these to ski trees on the east coast, mostly smugglers notch and jay peak, they both have simmiler dimentions and price pionts but I have never heard anything about either ski regarding durrability. Because I will be skiing trees I would like to have a ski im not worried about being destroyed. I am currently leaning twards the dps wailers because of thier narrower turn raidius. Any help is apreciated.

how can you even compare Dps to a company like blizzard (not knocking blizzard). Dps is superior quality and just a extremely well built product, guaranteed to put a smile on your face, no matter what the snow conditions are. My vote is the Wailer

^^I would be getting the hybrid version because I simply cannot justify speading 1000+ dollars on skis, so i dont think that being to light should be an issue, as for size i was thinking in the 180 range, what would you recomend.

Actually it's hardly a comparison of similar skis. The closest thing the Bonafide and W99 have in common is the waist width. They are completely different shape, and build.

In all honesty, go to TGR. MarshalOlson works for DPS and will actually give you an informed and nonbias comparison

it depends to you like to charge, or just like jib around the mountain? if you like to charge i would go for a 192 and for a more playful ski for sure a 184 would perform great. weight should obviously be no issue. and yes hybrids are still great skis although you can always take a look on tgr for used Pures if you want!

I've skied the hybrid and the pure 99s and I much preferred the hybrids but then I'd rather have a damper ski than a lighter one. I've seen lots of durability issues with the pures as well so be wary of that.

It's difficult to give you any specific advise without knowing what sort of ski you like. The best thing you can do is read the reviews on blistergearreview.com and search through the TGR forms. You'll get a ton of info and different opinions on both and you can match it all up to what you like in a ski.

Thanks all. As of now i am going to try to get a pair of the wailer hybrids during thier summer pre season sale, i have read the blister gear reviews and the wailer seems to be exactly what i am looking for

In my opinion, Bonafide hands down. DPS are light and sloppy compared to a hard chargin bonafide. If you like to rip down the mountain, do not get a dps.

If you have the budget, go DPS all the way. The Wailer is super light weight, perfect for squeezing through trees, and they are all ways of high quality.
