For me it is hands down Slug-Gos. DAT ACTION. Really lets you slow the retrieve down and dance that fucker to tease out the dinks. I've had more luck on SLug-Gos than any other bait, hands down.
Made right in Meriden CT too, so I can just phone order them and pick them up when I'm making pickups/deliveries.

tapered soft stickbait, and has the best erratic "dying minnow" action I've yet found. I ALWAYS texas rig them so they stay weedless, and I am a big fan of both the little 3" guys and the 4.5"ers. They are absolutely my go-to and they SLAY.
